Automotive Test Engineer – HIL / VIL Rig / Software Testing

Job Summary

We are looking for an Automotive Test Engineer to support and execute testing activities across HIL rigs, VIL rigs, boxcars, and vehicle environments. The role focuses on test execution, test system operation, automation, and fault tracing for automotive embedded software and systems, working closely with development and test teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and develop test cases for HIL, VIL boxcar, and vehicle testing
• Operate, support, and maintain HIL and test systems
• Perform integration and system-level testing of automotive software and hardware
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues using tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, DLT
• Support test automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers to identify, report, and resolve defects
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in automotive software testing (HIL / VIL / vehicle testing)
• Strong knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet automotive communication protocols
• Hands‑on experience with Vector tools (CANoe / CANalyzer)
• Basic electrical and mechanical fault‑tracing skills in test environments
• Experience with log analysis and debugging
• Familiarity with test automation and scripting (Python, CAPL, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset
• Valid driving license

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD, baseline or binary management
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 / AUTOSAR
• Experience working in fast‑paced automotive test environments
